Oils and your Steamer
I got this from a member of LHCF and I tried it myself, I love it!!! I did it like a hot oil treatment. I coated my hair and scalp with JOJOBA OIL and then sat under my steamer for 20 minutes. And when I rinsed my hair it was very soft and managable. I'll be adding to my regular regime.
Oil Rinising the hair
Rinse (or shampoo) your hair
Coat in your favorite oil (I've used olive, jojoba, castor, meadowfoam,
Rinse with warm/hot water
Apply conditioner
Rinse with cool/cold water
Apply leave-in
Seal
The part that makes it an oil rinse is using conditioner to help rinse some of the oil from your hair. Everything else is just a hot oil treatment, or an oil wash.
I do this because it helps with detangling and some oils can moisturze the scalp. JoJoBa Oil being one of them.

How to Rinse Hair With Apple Cider Vinegar
Add shine, bounce and remove buildup from your hair with a simple apple cider vinegar rinse. Apple cider vinegar is a well-known health food and folk remedy. Acetic acid, the main ingredient, will remove buildup from styling products and conditioners and strengthen the hair shaft, leaving you with soft, glimmering strands. Apple cider vinegar hair rinse will also balance hair's pH level, kill bacteria and is a great cure for dandruff. This rinse in not recommended for color-treated or processed hair, as acetic acid is a clarifier and can strip hair of color.
Make the rinse by mixing 1/3 cup of apple cider vinegar with 1 qt. of distilled water. Put the mixture in a plastic bottle and bring it into the shower or bath
Shampoo hair and rinse well.Do a deep condition Apply the apple cider vinegar rinse to your hair. Leave it in for a few seconds. Rinse your hair using cold water to seal the hair shaft and create more shine. Because vinegar is acidic, using the rinse daily is not advised. Try it once a week at most. Pay attention to how your hair responds and adjust use accordingly.
Dry your hair with a towel. If you notice a vinegar scent after you're done rinsing, don't fret. The smell will disappear after your hair dries.

Pour the mix into a glass jar when the herbal tonic is cooled, and add 1 cup of apple cider vinegar. Shake well. Apply the same way as the basic vinegar rinse.
Add a few drops of lavender, rosemary, lemon or rose essential oil to the basic vinegar rinse recipe if you're not motivated to make an herb tonic.

Make liquid African Black Soap
Here's my recipe for making a liquid black soap.
4 cups of Distilled Water
2 tablespoons of Chamomile Flowers
2 tablespoons of Lavender Flowers
I boil the the water and make a tea, I let it steep for 2 or 3 hours then strain. Then I add about 8ozs of Black Soap and I let it sit over night. I strain it at least twice and then I added some Shea and Cocoa Butter to it, I also added 4 ozs of Sweet almond oil, because it keeps the skin from itching and 2 ozs of
jojoba oil because it's good for the hair and skin, I also added 2ozs of aloe vera gel is good for the hair and body. I hope you like my recipe and decide to make it for yourself. African Black Soap is great for the face it will clear up acne and other bumps. When I use it on my face I use straight black soap, It really cleans the skin and makes it soft. It might sting a little at first but that goes away and you'll very clear beautiful skin. This is the only soap I use now and my hair, face and skin loves me for it.
You don't have to use everything I did, but it really makes my skin and hair very soft and clean without stripping and gets rid of the buildup. It rinses clean.
